Recent Ascot winner Boscobel may be supplemented for the Irish Derby on July 1, with a decision set to be made on Tuesday.
Mark Johnston's colt was an impressive scorer in the King Edward VII Stakes at the Royal meeting and the decision whether to pay €150,000 will be made after discussions with the trainer and the owner Sheikh Mohammed.
"We are seriously considering supplementing Boscobel into the Irish Derby," said John Ferguson, racing advisor to Sheikh Mohammed.
"Our initial thoughts are that the horse has come out of the King Edward VII Stakes in excellent shape and that the trip and likely conditions in Ireland will suit him.
"Naturally, with the race only nine days after Ascot, Sheikh Mohammed will need to be completely happy with Boscobel's demeanour and we'll be consulting Mark Johnston on Tuesday morning to make sure everything is right."
Boscobel has yet to appear in Betfair's ante-post listed for the Group One Curragh contest with the market dominated by Epsom Derby runner-up Eagle Mountain at 1.9. Soldier Of Fortune and Royal And Regal are next best in the trading on 8.
