US PGA Betting: Frustrating delays could signify good omens for Lefty

The Punter is less than impressed with the promises of play resuming yesterday that never materialised. It's worth keeping an eye on Mickelson's progress but caution is definitely the order of the day.

There's nothing much to report this morning. Other than how tired I am and that I missed the opportunity of an early night.

Poor weather stopped play with the leaders yet to start their third round and despite several suggestions that play would restart, it never actually did.

It's all rather unsatisfactory really, play's due to start again at noon UK time, 7.00am local but we won't get any live TV coverage until four hours later.

Trying to decide how the delay will affect different players or guessing the state of the course would probably be a complete waste of time and anyone betting in running is playing 'guess where they are on the course' with most of the field, so caution is definitively the tactic.

I do know that Mickelson has an eagle putt somewhere in the region of 15 feet on the 6th hole but other than that I don't know anything.

Maybe the delay is a good sign for Lefty, there has to be a possibility of a Monday finish now and the last time that happened in 2005, he won.
