Westwood is still searching for that first Major championship victory

Although Westwood's run of high major finishes came to an end with a surprise missed cut at the Open, there's no reason why he shouldn't resume the impressive run that saw him register five top-threes and nothing worse than 16th in his previous seven majors. One gets the impression that Lee's entire season is based around the four majors nowadays, in a bid to fill the one gap on his CV, and in terms of a warm-up, there was much to like about a 68/65 finish to reach the top-ten at Firestone. This long course, rewarding long, straight driving and high-class iron play, should be just the ticket.
