Hunter Mahan is capable of a late charge in these big events
Odds: [80.0]
Last five PGAs: 39/16/mc/18/-
Earlier in the season, Mahan looked a likely majors contender as he notched a string of high finishes on the PGA Tour. He's one of the best ball-strikers in the business, and has already registered several top-20s in various major championships. Recent results have been disappointing though, particularly last week's 37th at Firestone, where he was defending champion and had never missed the top-25 previously. Notably for In-Playpunters, Mahan has a habit of making late charges from well off the pace, but has proved unreliable when confronted with obvious chances to contend.
