Playing The US Open Odds: Top Australian market

Steve thinks he's unearthed a favourite that's worth opposing with just about the hottest player on the planet. And he doesn't mean Tiger Woods!
I started looking at the congested Top Debutant market and ended up with what I feel is a cracking bet in the Top Australian market!
Just about the hottest player on the planet right now is 24-year-old Australian Michael Sim. He's already gained a place on next years PGA Tour, having won twice and finished in the top 10 six times in just 9 starts on this year's Nationwide Tour.
He's a player that I've been following with interest and with whom I've been waiting to get with for a while. This week, particularly in the Top Australian market, could be the time to strike.
I like him in this market because, not only do I want to get with him, but I'm also more than happy to be against the favourite, Geoff Ogilvy. A fortunate winner of the event back in 2006 he's an absolute enigma. He could win the event or miss the cut, you just never know with Geoff.
The other seven rivals that Sim faces don't exactly scare me either. Robert Allenby may well be suffering a hangover after Sunday's woeful effort in Memphis, Adam Scott has lost the plot completely, Stuart Appleby and Rod Pampling haven't played well in a while and the other three, James Nitties, Matt Jones and Steve Allan are all certainly beatable.
Michael Sim looks a decent bit of value at around [19.0] and he may well be worth a small interest in the Top Debutant market too, but even if he doesn't oblige this week, he's definitely a player to keep a close eye on.
