Punters like his chances but Congressional might be too tough for big hitting Nick...
Odds: [34.0]
Last five US Opens: 76/mc/60/mc/-
Another huge-hitting American prospect, Watney has become a model of consistency, with six top-tens already this year, adding to the seven earned in 2010. The highlight was a deserved success in the WGC event at Doral, which went some way towards making up for the disappointment of blowing a substantial lead in last year's PGA. Hopefully he'll have learnt lessons for the next time an opportunity to win a major comes along, but there is nothing in Nick's US Open record to suggest it will happen here. A personal best of just 60th from four attempts suggests Watney's talents are better suited to easier layouts.
