Furyk has the advantage of having played Congressional in a US Open
Odds: [70.0]
Last five US Opens: 16/33/36/2/2
Coming off the back of a season that saw Furyk win three times, 2011 has been a strangely poor year, compounded by a disastrous missed cut last time at the Memorial, on one of his favourite courses. Consequently for the first time in well over a decade, the 2003 champion starts the US Open as an outsider. Since winning at Olympia Fields, he's twice been runner-up in the major that best suits his relentlessly accurate style. Furyk will also be one of the few players in this field to have contested the last US Open at Congressional 14 years ago, in which he finished fifth.
