Tiger Woods is looking forward to next week's Masters after claiming victory by two shots at the WGC-CA Championship in Miami
The world number one shot an uncharacteristic one-over par 73 in his final round to finish on 10-under, two shots clear of Brett Wetterich.
The US star led by four shots after three rounds and it was always going to be hard for the chasing pack to catch him, but the 12-time major winner carded five bogeys along with four birdies during his final 18 holes to give those closest to him a glimmer of hope.
However he hung on for his sixth victory at an event and course which he clearly enjoys playing, and is now relishing the chance to add to his four titles at Augusta.
"This tournament's been good to me," he said. "I love this golf course.
"I've always played well here, and when it was decided that we were going to come here, I just thought that this was a wonderful opportunity for me to win the championship.
"You can't have any better way (to prepare for Augusta), getting a 'W' right before you go."
Australian Robert Allenby finished joint-third on -6, along with Spain's Sergio Garcia and Geoff Ogilvy.
Aussie stars Aaron Baddeley and Nick O'Hern., along with Niclas Fasth of Sweden finished a further shot back while Englishman Paul Casey finished four-under, tied with American Zach Johnson.
Woods is, not surprisingly, the 2.6 favourite to add another Green Jacket to the ones he won in 1997, 2001, 2002 and 2005, with his great rival Phil Mickelson on offer at 10.
Fijian ace Vijay Singh trades at 22, with Retief Goosen and Jim Furyk on offer at 36 and Garcia available at 42.
