Ryder Cup legend Jose Maria Olazabal was today named captain of the European challenge for the 2012 event in Chicago.
The Spaniard has played in seven Ryder Cups and boasts 18 wins, as well as five halves and eight losses.
Olazabal was heavily touted as captain of the 2010 team but delayed his decision, with Colin Montgomerie named leader instead. But 'Ollie' played a role nevertheless, becoming an impromptu vice-captain after a last-minute offer from Monty.

But who would bet against Olazabal tasting Ryder Cup glory one last time?
