Opposing Phil at The Open is a solid strategy
Odds: [36.0]
Last five Opens: 48/-/19/mc/22
Having been repeatedly underpriced for previous Opens, the market is at last beginning to reflect Mickelson's glaring lack of links prowess, or form in the British Isles. Despite a permanent place at golf's top table for the past two decades, Lefty has only once made the top-ten in this major, at Troon in 2004. There is little evidence of a return to the form shown during that career-best season, so yet again, opposing Mickelson across match bet and finishing position markets looks a rock-solid betting strategy.
