Hanson is quietly building a reputation as one of the most reliable Europeans in major championships. Seventh place at Congressional last month was his third straight top-20 in the US Open, and he's made all five cuts in the Open to date. He's usually very accurate from tee to green, and has demonstrated further liking for seaside golf with a solid record in the Dunhill Links. A plausible outsider.
