Kuchar has a solid claim to being most improved player around. Prior to 2009, he'd never bettered 70th place on the PGA Tour money list in a decade of trying, or reached the world's top-100. Now he's the reigning money list champion, and ranked seventh. Given that five out of his six Open appearances came before that marked improvement, the fact he's only made the cut once may be of dubious relevance. Nevertheless, Kuchar still has everything to prove with regards to links golf.
