Kaymer has shown a liking for links golf in the past - can he win major no.2?
Odds: [26.0]
Last five Opens: 7/34/80/-/-
Kaymer's performances on links courses during last year's successful Race to Dubai campaign carried all the hallmarks of a future Open champion. He openly relished the challenge of seriously bad weather at St Andrews, and was in close contention before dropping back to seventh over the closing holes. Kaymer swiftly followed up with victories on another seaside layout at the KLM Open, and saved arguably his best performance of the season to win the Dunhill Links. A recent dip in form, probably due to swing changes, is a matter of some concern, although fourth place last time out in Paris signalled a timely return to somewhere near his world-beating best.
