With victory in the recent Travelers Championship ending an eight-year losing streak on the PGA Tour, Jacobson returns to Royal St George's with high hopes. This was the venue where Freddy enjoyed his best ever Open, finishing sixth during what was easily the best season of his career in 2003. Indeed European fans who saw him land three titles that season must be surprised that it took him so long to win across the Atlantic. Now he's finally removed that monkey from his back, there could well be better to come.
