Can Manny Villegas win the week after brother Camillo did the business?

"Manny Villegas was a wonderfully talented college golfer and is now starting his career on the Nationwide tour (where he has had two top 20 finishes from four attempts this year). Manny played in this event last year and made the cut on his first try on the PGA tour."

I am willing to forgive the Elephant Man's poor performance (poor being the kindest word to describe that first round) last week at the Honda. Despite having no top 25s yet this season, it was only John Merrick's second missed cut and his second round 70 at least provided some damage limitation. This week's course and opposition should be a much more appealing proposition for John, his form here reads well and offers real hope of a first win on tour.

Last week Camilo Villegas re-established himself as one of the very best golfers on the planet, that should have provided suitable inspiration to his brother Manny Villegas, who was a wonderfully talented college golfer and is now starting his career on the Nationwide tour (where he has had two top 20 finishes from four attempts this year). Manny played in this event last year and made the cut on his first try on the PGA tour. Expect him to improve on that 44th position here.

How many Norwiegan golfers can you name? Not many I'll bet. In fact, I can't even think of one that is currently playing on the European Tour. Henrik Bjornstad earned his place on this year's PGA Tour via a top 25 finish on the Nationwide tour's money list. This is Henrik's second attempt at making it on the PGA Tour, in 2005 he got though qualifying school but suffered a disappointing first season. However, a solid season on the Nationwide Tour last year has given him another crack at the PGA tour. He finished an excellent 17th at the Honda last week and can feel confident about his chances in this weaker field.

Selections: John Merrick [40.0], Manny Villegas [220.0], Henrik Bjornstad [150.0]
