Tim Clark: Too big at 28?

"Put simply, Clark's price for the Frys.com Open is too big at [28.0]. It's no secret that the South African has been in wonderful form for most of the year, he's played well here the last two years and the fact that he is still out on tour while a number of big names take a well deserved break must be down to the fact he's STILL yet to win."

Tiny Tim is the headline selection again for Dan Geraghty - the talented little South African has GOT to win soon!

Last week's three selections all finished in the top 30 but despite each of them playing well, Ryan Moore was the only one of the trio to get truly competitive. In my opinion there were enough good signs last week to give Tim Clark and John Mallinger another chance and after playing well without having any final day pressure last week they will hopefully be raring to go.

Put simply, Clark's price for the Frys.com Open is too big at [28.0]. It's no secret that the South African has been in wonderful form for most of the year, he's played well here the last two years and the fact that he is still out on tour while a number of big names take a well deserved break must be down to the fact he's STILL yet to win. Expect that to change soon.

On such an easy course, John Mallinger effectively shot himself out of the tournament last week with an opening round of one over par. However, he showed how well he is playing at the moment by following that up with a 62 (nine under par). Mallinger hit the top 20 here last year and for my money [85.0] is definitely too big.

Despite never having won a tournament Bubba Watson can count himself as one of the bigger names on the PGA Tour and of late has become accustomed to playing in the bigger tournaments rather than the Fall Series. On his last outing in early September he came 15th at the BMW Championship and he played well here last year (when he finished 34th). Bubba is out in the very first group on Thursday morning and if he can get off to a good start he'll fancy his chances in this field.

Selections: Tim Clark ([28.0]), John Mallinger ([85.0]), Bubba Watson ([70.0])
