"Dustin Johnson is one of only seven players in the field who has yet to compete in this tournament. That does not put me off as Johnson has done nothing but impress in his short time on tour and seems to hold no fear when in contention. The big hitter went close last week and shouldn't be far away here."
Daniel Geraghty make his picks for the BMW Championship where he expects the world number one to leapfrog to the top of the FedEx Cup rankings...
Another crossbar hit for the Three Against the Field column last week as Padraig Harrington traded odds on but couldn't get over the line in front. Jason Day put in another fine performance and was rewarded with a top 20 finish. The less said about Ernie Els the better.

Tiger Woods performance last week is hard to fathom, there was a spell during the back nine of his second round where every single iron he hit was no more than eight feet from the pin. It seemed certain he'd carry that performance into the third round and mount a serious challenge. Bizzarely that challenge didn't materialize until the fouth round and although formidable, he had left it too late. This week the field has been cut again and I expect Tiger to push himself back above Stricker to the top of the FedEx cup rankings.
Seeing as Steve Sticker is currently the only man above Tiger Woods in the FedEx Cup rankings, the closer Stricker gets to winning this tournament, the more it will drive Woods on. The last time this tournament was here at Cog Hill in 2007, Stricker finished third at 18 under par. The course has undergone renovations since then but Stricker is at the top of his game and can go low again.
Dustin Johnson is one of only seven players in the field who has yet to compete in this tournament. That does not put me off as Johnson has done nothing but impress in his short time on tour and seems to hold no fear when in contention. The big hitter went close last week and shouldn't be far away here.
Selections: Tiger Woods (3.1)
Betting w/o Tiger : Steve Stricker (11.5), Dustin Johnson (34)
