He came mighty close to landing that elusive three-figure winner with his US Open selections, so can Paul Krishnamurty come through with the goods at this week's big event - The BMW Championship

So near, yet so far. Lee Westwood, and to a lesser extent Camilo Villegas, gave us a great run for our US Open money only to fall just short. Having backed Westwood at [130.0], it was easy enough to 'green up' when he was trading as favourite on Sunday, but still the search for that elusive triple-priced winner goes on.

This week's selection is a highly capable Englishman who wouldn't have looked out of place in the Torrey Pines field. In fact I was surprised to see Graeme Storm failed to qualify for the US Open, as he's made an impact in the States before.

Storm led the opening round of last year's USPGA and produced the performance of his life to finish sixth behind the superstars at March's WGC-CA Championship. At least having missed the weekend he could be fresher than most at the BMW Championship in Germany this week, where several of the market leaders have to contend with jetlag, different time zones and conditions.

At [110.0], Storm looks a massive price considering that WGC form and the demands of this course. The key attributes at this Munich venue are hitting greens in regulation and par-five scoring, two areas where Storm excels. A modest course record is of slight concern, but in fairness he's never missed a cut here and has improved considerably in the year since his last visit. I've no doubt that this is a course where he could prosper if producing his best form.

Last season, Storm won his first event and racked up a series of high finishes. He is only available at these odds because of three missed cuts immediately after those WGC heroics, and has since confirmed he retains good form with scores below 70 for every round in his last event. Even if it's not this week, while a player of Storm's ability is available in three-figures he should be backed persistently. I'm very, very confident that he'll win at least once in his next hundred outings to repay the faith.
