It's a low-grade curtain-raiser on the European Tour but that merely offers these two Euro journeymen a rare chance to shine

The 2012 Race to Dubai gets off to a low key start at the Africa Open this week, presenting an opportunity for some of European golf's lesser names to make an early impression. As usual for these co-sanctioned Sunshine Tour affairs, the market is dominated by the best South Africans on show, but should the top half dozen in the market fail to deliver, this really won't take much winning.

With that principle in mind, I'm kicking off this year's trading system with a couple of big-priced European raiders, who while lacking any great pedigree, have at least fared well on this continent, and this course. In the case of [130.0] chance Robert Dinwiddie, nearly all his best form has come in Africa.

Dinwiddie opened last year's Race to Dubai campaign with three straight top-tens during this 'South African Swing', including seventh place on this East London layout. Notably, the 28 year-old Englishman failed to make a single top-20 once the tour moved beyond South Africa, until it returned in December when he duly upped his performance with 15th at Leopard Creek, a course where he also finished eighth in 2008. Yet further evidence of his liking for African conditions lies in the fact that his last win on the Challenge Tour came in Kenya.

Mikael Lundberg's claims mainly derive from finishing fifth at East London way back in 2001, although having just secured his 2012 playing rights at Q-school, he should be in good spirits.

Though not the most consistent player, Lundberg is capable of very decent golf on his day, as shown by four career titles, including the 2005 Russian Open on the main tour. He was also runner-up in the Czech Open last August, against a better field than this one. That's enough form to justify a trade at [300.0] in limited company.

The trading plan is to lay out three units, then place two orders at [15.0] and [3.0] on both players, in order to secure a minimum of seven units profit should any target be hit.

Recommended bets
2u Robert Dinwiddie @ [130.0]
1u Mikael Lundberg @ [300.0]

Place order to lay both players 10u @ [15.0]
Place order to lay both players 20u @ [3.0]
