"Oosthuizen failed to get up and down from just short of the green meaning Bubba had two putts to win his first Major."

After a night of unbelievable drama, Bubba Watson claimed his first Major by beating Louis Oosthuizen in a two-man play-off at Augusta.

Bubba Watson is the US Masters champion after winning a play-off against Louis Oosthuizen on a night of high drama.

The American went into the final round three shots adrift of overnight leader Peter Hanson, and one adrift of playing partner Oosthuizen. That one shot deficit sound became four however when Oosthuizen produced a moment of magic on the par-five second, holing his approach shot to make the first albatross in Masters history on that particular hole.

Playing in the final group, Hanson dropped shots early and playing partner Phil Mickelson made a complete mess of the par-three fourth hole, recording a triple-bogey six to give him a mountain to climb.

Oosthuizen was holing clutch par putts from everywhere however and looked in control of the tournament until Watson began his charge on the par-five 13th hole. The 33-year-old American birdied four holes in a row to get to 10 under par, joining his playing on that number. Both players then parred in meaning a play-off was required to determine the winner.

Watson missed a 10-foot birdie chance on the first play-off hole but didn't have to wait long until the Green Jacket was his. He played a brilliant shot from the trees on the second play-off hole to land 15-foot away from the cup. Oosthuizen failed to get up and down from just short of the green meaning Bubba had two putts to win his first Major. He mad no mistake.

Watson was matched at a high of [110.0] In-Play and was generally available to back at [60.0] pre-tournament.

For England's Lee Westwood this was yet another case of a Major championship that got away. The world number three finished just two shots off the eventual winning despite missing four putts throughout the week from inside two and a half feet. A familiar story now, his putter again let him down but at least in a frank interview on Sky Sports he admitted that his putting was 'pathetic' and that it was now time go and work on that side of his game.

Many see Westwood's best chance of breaking his Major hoodoo coming at the Open Championship in July, for which he can be backed at [14.0] currently. Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods, who both flopped badly at Augusta, head the market at [9.6] and [12.0] respectively.
