Annika Sorenstam admits her fitness is a concern going into this week's 62nd US Open at Pine Needles.
The Swedish ace has been struggling with a back problem and this week's major is just her third tournament since having enforced six-week lay off.
The 36-year-old has dropped to third in the world rankings, but did win the US Open the last time it was held at the North Carolina course, in 1996.
Ahead of an attempt to claim her fourth title, Sorenstam admitted: "At the moment, I am concentrating on getting back to 100% fitness and being able to play again full-time."
She added: "This tournament has always meant the most to me. This is the event that I always get geared up for."
The European ace is not the only contender though with injury problems, as Michelle Wie continues to struggle with a wrist complaint.
Sorenstam is the currently on offer at 8 in Betfair's developing outright winner market, which is currently headed by world number one Lorena Ochoa (4.8).
