Adam Scott is trading as the 2.16 favourite to win the St Jude Championship in Memphis, as he leads at the midway stage following a rain-affected second round.
The Australian began the day sharing the lead with Swede Frederik Jacobson, who is currently available at 17.5, but took top spot on his own at -7 after a second round 66.
The world number four, who completed the final two holes after a rain break, fired four birdies in a bogey-free round to leave him one shot ahead of American Brian Gay (11), who also shot 66.
Scott's fellow Australian Andrew Buckle (13) is in third on his own on -5, but still has to finish off his final three holes of his second round to finish before the third round can get underway.
Jacobson is four shots off the pace on -3 after a second round 70, while England's Brian Davis (70), Spain's Jose Maria Olazabal (40) and American duo David Toms (15) and Scott Verplank (22) are among a group of six players on two-under-par.
Scott was pleased with his concentration in difficult conditions, with the leader saying "It's never ideal, but it's something you have to get used to because we seem to do it a lot on tour.
"You just have to learn to relax and try to come out with a fresh mind."
