Customer scoops big win on Betfair Arcade. Find out how he did it here...

A businessman from Stoke has become the latest winner on Betfair Arcade. The 26-year-old correctly guessed the amount of money in a golf bag held by Betfair sports ambassador Will Greenwood. The promotion encouraged Betfair customers to correctly guess the value of money over a period of a week. Players were given cryptic clues every day to help them make their choice.

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, has been a customer of Betfair for over five years and was a regular on both the exchange and casino/arcade. He had seen several promotions running on our casino and arcade site and had entered most of them. He had cleverly noticed that Betfair's larger promotions seemed to be within a certain range and correctly assumed that this promotion would be the same.

He then wrote down the clue every day on post it notes which adorned his flat so he was constantly thinking of numbers to guess within this range. The key clues turned out to be "50% more £10 notes than £20" and "less than £600 pound coins". In the end he was a staggering £2 out! Although he admits he did his homework he also attributes some of his success to lady luck.

Having been up till 4am the previous night watching Copa American football on Betfair, he was rudely awoken by a call from our Casino Manager who informed him that he had won over £22,000! He was expecting a call from a work colleague and admits to being slightly dumbfounded when he heard the news. After a few hours it finally sank in and he was able to think about how to spend his money. Although still undecided he is considering spending his winnings on a holiday or a season ticket to his beloved Stoke City.
