Colin Montgomery is predicting a return to form this season and is hoping to break back into the World's top 10.
The 43-year-old Scot was delighted with the way he played against Johan Edfors on the first day at the Match Play Championship in Arizona before losing to Paul Casey, and is hoping for a big season.
Montgomery is hoping to do well in the Johnnie Walker Classic and is trading at 22 with Betfair to go on and win the tournament which is underway in Phuket, Thailand.
"I started the year off and I'm in the top 20, and I really feel still that I'm able to get it back in the top 10," Montgomery revealed.
"I don't think that I'm thinking about over-achieving to get to that degree at 43 years old, but I feel that I can get back into the top 10 and that is a goal.
"I've got to win a couple of tournaments at least, obviously, to do that and possibly win in America. But I'm playing quite well and I'm confident.
"I set the odd goal and one is to improve, but again, I'd like to get back into the top 10 in the world and I feel like that's not far away."
Montgomery is also trading at 60 to go on and win the European of Order of Merit, with Henrik Stenson the 2.02 favourite following his red-hot start to the new season.
