Wigan midfielder Josip Skoko has a dead leg and is a major doubt for Saturday's crunch Premiership clash at Charlton.
Skoko picked up the injury in the Latics' goalless draw with Fulham and has yet to fully shake off the problem.
Skoko has been a mainstay in Wigan's engine room this season and will be keen to stay injury free as he looks to land a new contract at the JJB Stadium.
There has been some good news though for Wigan boss Paul Jewell, with Paul Scharner back in contention after three months on the sidelines following knee surgery.
However, the influential Austrian has played just two reserve games and 14 minutes as a substitute against Fulham, so Jewell has to decide whether to risk the 31-year-old.
Caleb Folan sprained his right ankle in the Fulham game but should be fit for Saturday, having pulled out of international duty with Republic of Ireland.
Wigan are seen as underdogs for Saturday's clash at the Valley, with the Latics trading at 3.55 for the victory. Charlton can be backed at 2.26 while the draw is available at 3.45.
