Simon Dyson is upbeat about his chances going into the Indonesian Open, after admitting that he almost expects to win every time he competes in Asia.
The Yorkshireman is the defending champion at this week's event, with the 2006 Jakarta success his first European Tour title.
Dyson was also named Asian Tour rookie of the year and Asian Tour player of the year in 2000 and he is enjoying his time again in Asia.
The former Walker Cup star revealed: "Because of the year I had in Asia, I feel like I am the one to beat whenever I come back.
"My confidence is up and even when I am not playing great, I come here and get the results."
He added: "I remember the emotions I felt in Indonesia last year when I won my first European Tour title - it felt so good and I am very proud to be returning as defending champion.
"I'm happy with my game at the moment and can't wait to begin."
Betfair punters feel Dyson has every reason to be confident, after finishing tied third at the Malaysian Open last week and tied seventh at the Dubai Desert Classic the previous week.
The 29-year-old is the 9.2 favourite for the Indonesian Open, with Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee trading at 9.4. Meanwhile, Dyson can be backed at 2.88 to claim a top five finish and 1.85 to finish in the top ten.
