Charles Howell III cemented his place at the top of both the PGA Tour money list and FedEx standings after his final round 65 gave him a share of sixth place at the Pods Championship.
The 28-year-old has enjoyed a great start to the 2007 season and has finished in the top ten six times out of the seven events he has played - opening the season with two runners up spots before securing only his second PGA Tour victory at the Nissan Open in February.
Howell only just made the cut last weekend but he finished the last 37 holes without dropping a shot and fired a 65 on Sunday, the best round on the final day, to take his season's prize money past the $2million mark.
His recovery from a sticky start will certainly give him confidence ahead of the Arnold Palmer Invitational this weekend, where he is on offer at 32.
However, Tiger Woods plays this week and is the strong favourite at 3.5 to win his second event of the year in three starts, with Phil Mickelson next best at 15.
It is a similar story in the PGA Money List as the world number one dominates the market at 1.44, even though he has won more than a $1m less than current leader Howell.
Howell is available at 26 to finish 2007 as the leading money winner but may appeal more to punters in the 'Winner w/o Woods' market, where he is available at 8, and the 'Top 4' market, which has yet to develop.
