World number one never rises above 2-1 in the Betfair market as he storms to another victory

In a field of just 30 players a competitive Tiger's price will always be on the cramped side of claustrophobic and so it proved at this weekend's Tour Championship.

With the FedEx Cup field whittled down to the top 30 challengers, Woods went off around 2.38 (11-8) and never got above 2.82 (15-8) as he charged to his 61st career win to land the $10m jackpot.

The lowest price matched on any other player was 7.2 (6-1) on South African Tim Clark and 7.6 on Phil Mickleson as the world number one simply obliterated the field, eventually winning by eight shots for a final total of 23 under.

In Europe, Soren Hansen was matched at a high of 50 as he landed his second career title at the Mercedes-Benz Championship.

The Dane has been in stunning form on the European Tour this year - two seconds and one third place finish in the last eight events - without quite cracking it. However, two eagles on the homeward nine saw him through to his first tournament win since 2002.

The USA were matched at a high of 2.4 when retaining the Solheim Cup.
