Englishman backed at 150 to land the spoils on European Tour
Steve Webster went off at a pre-tournament high of 150 before landing the Portugal Masters in emotional fashion on Sunday.
The Englishman shed tears on the 18th after finishing on a total of 25-under par, two shots ahead of Robert Karlsson. Webster lost his mother to cancer earlier this year and dedicated the win to her.
The 32-year-old played inspired golf throughout the tournament to capitalise on a semi-hot streak that brought a top-five and top-15 finishes in the preceding five tournaments.
Karlsson traded at 2.8 to win while Argentine Daniel Vancsik hit a low of 3.4.
