Kiwi golfer matched at exchange's skinniest price as he conjures defeat from the jaws of victory.
New Zealander David Smail was matched at [1.01] before blowing his chance to win the Australian Open.
Smail faltered when four shots clear with four holes to play, shooting back-to-back double bogeys to fall back into the pack.
The tournament was eventually won by South African Tim Clark, who beat Matthew Goggin in a play-off, to reward his backers who took a high price of [220.0] on the exchange.
There was another South African winner, this time in his homeland, whenRichard Sterne landed the Alfred Dunhill Championship. Sterne was matched at an in-running high of [32.0] on Betfair to take the European Tour event.
Fellow countryman Thomas Aiken, who shot a course record 61 during the tournament, traded at a low of [1.32] with American Len Mattiace touching [2.1].
