And pain too for some short-price takers on a dramatic night of UEFA Cup action.
Manchester City are favourites to win the UEFA Cup in early trading following the conclusion of the last 32 round tonight.
Mark Hughes' men impressed during a 2-1 win over FC Copenhagen with Craig Bellamy scoring a brace.
But it was not so good for the other English representatives with both Aston Villa and Spurs crashing out after fielding weakened teams for their second leg clashes.
And there was also pain for favourites AC Milan who were shocked by a dramatic comeback from Werder Bremen at the San Siro.
Milan were backed at [1.04] to win the match after opening a 2-0 lead. But Claudio Pizarro denied those short price backers with a double to level at 2-2 - enough to take Bremen through - and that final score was backed at [30.0].
There was worse news for those backing a 2-0 win for Manchester City - more than £500 was placed on that score at [1.01] with the English club holding that advantage only for Copenhagen to notch a 93rd minute consolation.
City are the [7.0] market leaders with CSKA Moscow, Villa's conquerors, their nearest challengers at [7.6].
