A tip from the Joker to get your betting day under way....

John Keats, on his arrival in Italy in 1820, 'summoned up more puns, in a sort of desperation, in one week than in any year of my life'. The effete poet adapted rather better than Ian Rush, the £3.2-million man, 170 years later. Rushy 'couldn't settle in Italy. It was like being a foreign country.'

Of course, the Joker is more John Keats than Ian Rush. He knows desperation. He knows it right now, in fact. If only he could summon up some puns about Italy U20's clash with their Greek counterparts at the Mediterranean Games in Pescara.

Both teams have played one group match so far. Italy, the tournament hosts, drew 1-1 with Syria. The Greeks beat the same opposition 4-0.
