And it's defeat for Spurs who fail again to pull clear of the relegation places.

Bolton and Tottenham's end-to-end battle at the Reebok this afternoon ended 3-2 to the Wanderers landing correct score backers winning bets at odds of [80.0].

Bolton went 2-0 up and touched [1.05] in Betfair's match odds market, but conceded twice in a mad three minute spell in the second half. Gary Megson's men drifted to [10.0] before Kevin Davies scored his side's third to swing the match in favour of Bolton.

As the game see-sawed, the draw touched a high of [21.0] and low of [1.32], while over 4.5 goals was matched at [42.0].

The result ended a run of five winless Premier League games and has eased Wanderers' relegation odds to [7.6]. Spurs, who play Arsenal next weekend, are in to [9.0] in the same market.

At the top of the table, neither Arsenal or Aston Villa were able to overcome West Ham or Wigan.

Correct score backers were able to get highs of [17.0] in the Arsenal match and [13.5] at Villa Park.

There were notable lows in the match odds markets too with the Gunners backed at [1.31] and Martin O'Neill's Europe chasers at [1.5].

Manchester United needed just the one goal to get past Everton. It came late in the first half to reward backers of Utd for the halftime win at [8.0]. the champions are now five points clear at the top and are trading at [1.36] for the title.

Back in the relegation battle, Portsmouth suffered another defeat and are now fifth favourites to go down at [3.5]. Fulham's 3-1 win rewarded correct score backers who were matched at a high of [28.0].

Hull twice went ahead against West Brom but could not seal the deal, the game ending in a 2-2 stalemate. Phil Brown's Tigers were backed at a low of [1.27] to win the match while the correct score was backed at a high of [25.0].

Earlier in the day Stoke produced a remarkable ten-man effort to overcome Manchester City. Stoke touched [10.0] in Betfair's match odds market after Rory Delap was sent off in the first half of the match with the game scoreless. City were backed at a low of [1.71] when initially up against 10-men.

James Beattie's header shocked Mark Hughes' men and the Betfair markets with a late first half-opener to reward backers of the 1-0 halftime score at [60.0].

Stoke were also matched at [65.0] to hold the halftime advantage, while the draw was backed at a low of [1.02] (with a total of £4,705 traded).

Middlesbrough and Blackburn produced the third 0-0 of the day. The Riverside draw was backed at a high of [4.4].
