Ronaldinho has praised David Beckham for his recent performances for Real Madrid and is looking forward to their international encounter at Wembley.
The former England captain has been recalled to the national side for their friendly with Brazil on Friday at the new Wembley and will face a familiar rival in Barcelona's talented attacker.
Barca and Real are embroiled in a mighty tussle for the La Liga crown and both clubs sit on 72 points with just two games to go in the Spanish top flight. Beckham's side trade as the 1.76 favourites to take the title, with the Catalans on offer at 2.48 and Sevilla available at 18.5 to upset the big two.
The Spanish league takes a break this weekend but Ronaldinho will line up against Beckham in north London, and he believes that England manager Steve McClaren was right to recall the former Manchester United ace.
"Beckham deserves his return to the England team because he has been playing so well for Real Madrid," he told the Daily Star.
"I can't wait to take him on though. We are involved in a huge battle in La Liga and now we will be fighting for supremacy at Wembley."
England trade as the 2.74 favourites to beat the South American giants, with Brazil offered at 2.9 and the draw available at 3.35.
Despite his respect for Beckham, Ronaldinho is desperate to emerge victorious on Friday and complete a double over Beckham in the La Liga run-in.
"I want to triumph in both but I know that would wreck his dreams," he added.
