Former Newcastle boss and Dutch legend Ruud Gullit has added his name to the list of contenders to become the next Manchester City boss.
Ex-Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri leads Betfair's market at 2.16 to succeed Stuart Pearce, while other top names linked to the post include former Liverpool and Lyon manager Gerrard Houllier (6), ex-England coach Sven Goran-Eriksson (15) and Seville's Juande Ramos (34).
The worry for City supporters and backers is that whoever takes over as manager could find himself at an immediate disadvantage because of the time it is taking to complete the takeover at the club.
Thaksin Shinawatra's proposed takeover is still on going and it could be a while before that is completed. That means whoever gets the manager's job will already be behind the rest of the Premiership in terms of transfer activity.
Despite the delay behind the scenes, it appears Gullit, who's been out of the management game since May 2005, is still keen on the post and can be backed at 100 to return to the Premiership with City.
