Manchester United target Eidur Gudjohnsen has made it clear that he wants to stay at Barcelona but is unclear about what the future holds.
Speculation surrounding the 28-year-old has intensified in recent days in the wake of fellow striker Thierry Henry's £16million arrival from Arsenal.
But the former Chelsea man says he is determined to stay and fight for his future at the Nou Camp, insisting there has been no contact from potential suitors.
"There is a lot of speculation but I haven't spoken to anyone and am only thinking of continuing here," the Icelander told the Spanish press.
"There were high expectations when I arrived and it's normal that when a striker doesn't score many goals people expect more of you. I also expect more from myself.
"But after last season I will be more settled. I know how the club works, the language, and I will only have to focus on my game."
In a developing Betfair market Barcelona are the current 1.96 favourites to win the La Liga title next season with Henry now in their ranks, while current champions Real Madrid are offered at 2.64.
Whether or not Gudjohnsen plays with Henry next season is open to question but he hopes to show the Catalan crowd that he is worthy of a place in the starting line-up.
"When I am in top form it will be easier to change people's opinions of me," he added. "I know that after not winning anything everyone is thinking of making lots of changes but I want to stay."
United have been linked with a move for the former Bolton star as Sir Alex Ferguson looks to bolster his striking ranks as they attempt to hold onto the Premiership crown next season.
Both United and Chelsea trade at 2.64 to take the title in the 2007-2008 campaign.
