I am 56 and married with 2 children and live in a village in South Wales. I love Horse Racing, Football, Cricket, and Golf and Current Affairs. I enjoy holidays in Spain and Australia and I speak Spanish. I have spent a lot of my professional life involved in Cricket.

I am now retired but am doing some work as a Professional Analyst.

I was intrigued by the betting exchanges and was looking at a way to supplement my pension so I have spent quite a lot of time studying the vagaries of Betfair. I love the removal of large overrounds of greedy Bookmakers.

Without doubt my best winning bets were Nashwan (1989 Derby) where I won enough for a holiday to Australia and North Light (2004 Derby) which paid for my wedding in the Blue Mountains, also in Australia.

My worse bet was backing against Peeping Fawn with Mandesha (Nassau Stakes 2007 Goodwood).

Since 1959 I have supported Nottingham Forest; they won the FA Cup with ten men and I was listening to it on the radio with my father.

As a Forest fan, it’s no surprise that without doubt my sporting idol is Brian Clough, simply the best football manager this country has produced. He made beauty out of ugly, making ordinary players into heroes and he also produced winning teams with expression!
