Portsmouth matched at 200 for FA Cup glory

Harry Redknapp's troops come good on the big stage to disappoint those who backed Cardiff at [1000.0]...

Portsmouth were matched at a high of [200.0] on Betfair's FA Cup winner market which was a great result for these backers after Pompey lifted the FA Cup this afternoon, courtesy of a win over Cardiff.

Kanu's solitary goal (he was matched at [8.6] to open the scoring) was enough to win the match and just reward for those who backed the 1-0 scoreline at [7.2]; Portsmouth only ever touched [2.2] on the match odds market. Portsmouth to be leading at half-time and winning at full-time was matched at 3.55. The fact that there were no more goals in the game after the Nigerian' strike was good for those who managed to lay over 1.5 goals at [1.25].

Much has been made of Portsmouth's back five this season and in particular the form of David James and the man they call "Calamity" made the headlines for all the right reasons this time; those who got [2.26] on a Pompey clean sheet will be happy.

In the end it just wasn't to be for Cardiff City but at least those who backed them at Betfair's maximum price of 1000 on the winner market will have had plenty of chances to lock in a considerable profit; Cardiff traded at a low of [2.76].
