Everton and Manchester United are both through to the last eight of the FA Cup. Here's how they did it plus the draw for the quarter-finals...
Everton are strong contenders to win the FA Cup for the first time in 14 years after being matched at [2.62] to beat Aston Villa this afternoon. The 2-1 half-time scoreline was backed at [38.0] on Betfair and the 3-1 final scoreline was matched at [29.0].
As if the win wasn't pleasing enough for David Moyes, further good news followed when the Toffees drew the winner of the West Ham v Middlesbrough replay in the next round of the cup at home, thus avoiding the three remaining members of the Big 4 still left in the competition - Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea. Everton are priced at [7.2] for FA Cup glory.
It was an even easier tie for Man Utd away to Derby in the tea-time kick-off. The Premier League champions briefly touched [1.72] before Nani opened the scoring for the away side. The final 4-1 result meant that those who predicted 5 goals or more in the match at odds of [15.0] secured a good result. Man Utd will play the winner of the Fulham v Swansea replay away from home in the next round but Betfair punters aren't being put off by the fact that United will be on the road for a second successive match - they make Cristiano Ronaldo and co the [2.94] jollies to win the competition.
Chelsea, who face the winners of the Coventry v Blackburn replay are next in the betting at [4.5]. Arsenal, who are just a [1.19] chance to progress against Cardiff City in tomorrow's replay are available at [5.6] to lift the FA Cup this season.
Full FA Cup Quarter-Final draw:
Blackburn Rovers or Coventry City v Chelsea
Swansea City or Fulham v Manchester United
Cardiff City/Arsenal/Burnley v Sheffield United or Hull City
Everton v West Ham United or Middlesbrough
