Germany the Euro 2008 favourites again after 3-2 win over Portugal is matched at 85

Germany are the Euro 2008 favourites at 3.75 having become the first side to book their passage to the semi-finals after being matched at 3.6 to beat Portugal in the quarter finals over 90 minutes.

Germany were always ahead but Portugal fought back bravely to twice cut down a two-goal deficit to just one. Schweinsteiger was a [26.0] shot to score first and the eventual 3-2 scoreline was matched at [85.0] whilst the flurry of goals meant those who backed over 4.5 goals were paid out at odds of [23.0]. Germany to be leading at half-time and winning at full-time was matched at [7.6].

Having gone out to odds of [9.0] after their defeat to Croatia in the group stages, Germany are the jollies once again with Holland behind them in the betting at [4.6] followed by Spain at [6.0] and Italy at [7.0].

Their passage to the semis means that those who backed Lukas Podolski to end as the tournament's top scorer will see the Bayern Munich forward get at least one more chance to add to his tally of three goals. Podolski (currently [5.1]) is one goal behind David Villa of Spain who is [1.7] and will have a chance of his own to add to his scoring record when his side face Italy in the quarters.
