Reims supporters have had plenty to sing about so far this season

Jonno Turner is backing Reims, heroic hosts from the French second division, and Liverpool as he attempts to get the week started in style...

I bought a cheap jack-in-the-box the other day that didn't work. No surprise there.

I've got a real appetite for some winners this week - and we're starting with some authentic French cuisine straight from Ligue 2 as Reims welcome Nantes to the Stade Auguste Delaune II tonight looking to extend their recent excellent home form.

Hubert Fournier's side have been grinding out some impressive results on their own patch of late, and have won six of their last seven encounters in front of their own fans - a run which has helped lift them to third in Ligue 2.

And the Reds have scored 12 goals in those games, which will give them confidence as they come up against a Nantes side who sit ninth in the league, and has conceded eight goals on their last five trips away.

Les Canaris are in the midst of a miserable run on their travels, and have won just once in their last 17 games away from La Beaujoire-Louis Fonteneau. And just 11 away points collected since early December last year indicates that Philippe Anziani's side have an advanced case of travel sickness.

The hosts are unbeaten at home in the last two league encounters between these sides, and I think they're excellent value to nick an invaluable win at great odds this evening.

Back to more familiar climes now, as King Kenny's Liverpool visit west London for a spot of seasonal shopping, maybe catch a show - and a Premier League encounter with Martin Jol's Fulham.

The pressure is on Liverpool this evening following wins for their top four rivals at the weekend, and the Reds could do with a victory to keep within touching distance of the leading pack.

Unbeaten in their last 11, Liverpool have won their last six on the road and will fancy themselves to extend that run as they visit a Fulham side who have won just one of their last eight Premier League games at Craven Cottage.

Jol's side have struggled so far this season and sit 16th in the league, just two points above the drop zone. And six goals conceded in their previous two home games will have Liverpool's in-form strikers salivating in anticipation of this one.

The visitors have won three of their last four meetings with tonight's opponents and have not lost to them since 2007 - and I'm selecting them as my away pick this miserable Monday.
