Johan Elmander probably doesn't have too many regrets over leaving Bolton to Galatasaray at present
Jonno Turner is trusting Laval and Galatasaray to earn him some spending money for the weekend...
It's Friday! I'm staying off the booze this weekend as I think I've been overdoing it a bit recently. I realised that I am drinking too much last week, when I provided the doctor with a urine sample and it had an olive in it.
I'm not the only one though. I heard on the news that teenagers today drink twice as much as they did ten years ago. To be fair, though, they were only aged between three and nine back then.
We're off to France's Ligue 2 for our penultimate tip of the week, as Laval welcome bottom-of-the-table Amiens to the Stade Francis Le Basser.
Laval are experiencing a mixed season and have been performing well on their own patch, although their away form is letting them down. Six wins in their last eight home league games has seen Philippe Hinschberger's side to tenth, but it's a tight affair this campaign, and a win in this one could see them go fifth if results are kind to them.
Eleven goals scored in their last six wins in front of their fans shows that the hosts are capable of hitting the back of the net, and that could be a key factor as they line up against this season's whipping boys this evening.
Amiens travel west in the midst of a miserable run which has seen them win just once in 15 away games, and currently sit rock bottom.
And Ludovic Batelli's side have conceded nine goals in their last six, indicating frailty at the back, but potentially more worrying is their lack of goals at the other end. Just 17 goals scored all season is the joint-worst record in the division, and if Laval can nick the first goal here, you sense that there isn't really a way back for the visitors.
Laval have won their last two home ties against Amiens, and I think they'll make it three tonight.
Bet 1: Laval (HOME) to win @ [2.04]
As a kid my mother used to tuck me in - she really wanted a daughter.
To Turkey now, and Galatasaray travel to Mersin Idman Yurdu looking to extend their lead at the top of the Super Lig. Mersin currently occupy 12th place, and have won just two of their last 11 games, losing nine.
And boss Nurullah Saglam has seen his side ship a whopping 10 goals in their last five outings, scoring just six - a stat that will have Gala's forwards, who have smashed 48 goals in between them this season, watering at the mouth.
The visitors travel to Tefvik Sirri Gur with a six-point margin on second-placed Fenerbahce but rather than resting on their laurels, Fatih Terim will be desperate to extend the recent good form which has seen them lose just once in 19 games.
And the leaders have won five of their last seven away trips, scoring a dozen goals in that time. The key to Terim's success this season has been consistency - his side won 10 consecutive outings at one point - and I can't see them slipping up this evening.
Bet 2: Galatasaray (AWAY) to win @ [1.8]
