The "Total Goals Guys" are betting on goals at Stamford Bridge, the Riverside, Old Trafford and Bilbao

It was a blue day for us last Saturday as the total goals at Ibrox Stadium and Stamford Bridge both fell one short of our desired total. Sucess in our other four selections softened the blow however and we move on with £81.22 in our hands.

The 6-0 romping of Man City aside Chelsea haven't really run over the top of anyone yet at Stamford Bridge this season. Draws with Blackburn (0-0), Fulham (0-0) and Everton (1-1) along with narrow wins over Birmingham (3-2), Pompey (1-0) and West Ham (1-0) does not point heavily in the direction of an 'overs' back. However 3 or more goals in this 3 o'clock kick-off on Saturday [1.72] looks tempting when you consider that even before that 7-1 thrashing at Goodison the visitors were shipping an average of at least 2 goals per Premier League away match.

2 goals or more in Liverpool's Saturday evening visit to the Madejski looks a sound piece of business at [1.35]. The Reds took 4 off Reading in a 6 goal league cup thriller in September and a few goals may well be on the cards here again. The Anfield side have been in sensational form recently and that man Torres really looks the real deal in front of goal. His movement is so good and with Gerrard's vision it is sure to be the source of quite a few more goals this season. Reading are no push-overs at home however, they will create a few chances and Liverpool will need a continuation of their current form to ensure they sustain a title challenge. Only a quarter of Reading's home ties this season have finished with under 2 goals being scored.

Derby have lost heavily this season at Anfield and The Emirates and another sore one could well be on the way this weekend with The Rams facing a daunting trip to Old Trafford on Saturday. The visitors shipped a total of 11 goals without reply in those two encounters and new boss Paul Jewell has a job on his hands ensuring it stays respectable this time. A heavy loss is not good for the player's confidence and there is little doubt the strategy will be to contain and frustrate. Such a game plan relies on a solid defence and put simply Derby aren't good enough at the back for this level. United can field a weakened side and still win this comfortably. We're backing 3 goals or more at [1.51]

Real Madrid travel to Athletico Bilbao on Saturday for an evening kick-off in La Liga. [1.32] is available for 2 goals or more in the Total Goals market and that looks good when studying Madrid's season long away form in terms of total goals. The league leaders are not as prolific on the road this season in terms of scoring victories but there is an average of 3 goals per game when the league leaders are away from home and only one fixture has ended up with less than 2 goals. 11th placed Bilbao have picked up recently after a poor start most notably with last Sunday's 3-0 win in Valencia and confidence will be high. They will be sure to have a go at Real and we fancy there to be a few goals in this one.

Finally Arsenal face another trip to the North East on Sunday where they slipped up in Wednesday's 1-1 draw with Newcastle United. Its hard to see Middlesborough putting in the kind of determined performance that has taken some of the heat off Sam Allardyce this week and The Gunners are well fancied to get back on track here. The Riverside is a massive playing surface and this plays into the visitor's hands perfectly and when you consider Arsenal have scored more goals than any other Premier League side this season, a comfortable win is not out of the question. A few more defeats for Gareth Southgate however could lead him to the exit door and he'll be looking for a level of effort similar to the one that dug out a 1-1 draw at Reading last weekend. Surely he will also know as much as anyone that sitting back could be asking for trouble and this again might help Arsenal. 2 goals or more is an attractive [1.31]

The balance of £81.22 is being split equally between our 5 selections
