The Total Goals Guys give us their weekend selections

Celtic and Rangers have a rest this weekend to give Alex McLeish's Scotland side every chance of progression to Euro 2008. Elsewhere there are tough ties for Manchester United, Chelsea and Bayern Munich. Questions are asked of big players in such games and we expect them to deliver in finding the net. Equally however they can succumb to the pressure and concede sloppy goals - that's the beauty of the Total Goals Market where you can cheer on EVERY attack!

Liverpool and Fulham's tea-time clash on Saturday kicks-off this week's selections. We fancy Liverpool to carry on their fine goalscoring form from mid-week and fire a few past Fulham. The visitors got a win last week but are otherwise struggling, particularly away from home where they have conceded 6 goals in 5 winless away fixtures. They will try to contain and frustrate Liverpool but everyone at the club got a huge result in mid-week and we expect them to kick on now. The Cottagers have found the net in 4 of those 5 away ties scoring is beyond them especially with David Healy in the fold who always seems to raise his game for the big ones. 1.26 is fairly generous for two goals here.

We've not been on Bayern Munich for a while and we're glad we haven't been as the German giants have been held to a goalless draw in each of their last two league outings. They did however get back amongst the goals in their mid-week 2-2 draw with Bolton. Saturday sees Bayern pay current champions Stuttgart a visit and 1 goals or more is the call here. The hosts have had a poor start to the season and are currently in 12th place, 12pts behind the visiting league leaders. They have steadied the ship with 2 recent 1-0 victories and a tight encounter is expected but we do not expect Bayern to have a 3rd 0-0 in succession and are taking the 1.06 for 1 goal.

Blackburn Rovers look tricky opponents for Manchester United on Sunday. They make the short trip to Old Trafford looking to build on a good start to the season, which sees them currently lying 6th in the table, 5 points behind United but with a game in hand. Blackburn saw out an entertaining 0-0 with Liverpool at Ewood Park last week but have scored on each of their last 3 visits to this ground and 7 goals from 5 EPL away ties this season suggests they are capable of adding to this. The reds are bang in form when it comes to finding the net, having done so 22 times in their last 6 matches. Blackburn might be tough opponents who will refuse to be bullied but we feel there are goals in this one and will be on 2 or more priced at 1.24. Rooney is out but the goals have been coming from all over the park and Man Utd will know that 1 wont be enough!

Barcelona travel to Madrid on Saturday night where they face Getafe who lie 2 points off a relegation spot in 13th place in la Liga. The Catalans are back to winning ways with two victories on the bounce after 2 consecutive draws. The stats don't point to goals in this one with Getafe averaging 1 goal per game at home this season and Barcelona only slightly better at 1.2 goals per game on the road. Barca however are finding the net once more with Ronaldinho looking nearer and nearer his top form with each passing game and with 2 goals or more coming in on both sides last 3 league matches we're happy to back on this run continuing at 1.28

Primera Division Champions and current league leaders Real Madrid host 9th placed Mallorca on Sunday and we are backing 2 goals or more in the total goals market. With this fixture taking place on Sunday we fully expect rivals Barca to be in temporary hold of top spot and this will give the all whites all the motivation they will need to return their proud name to the top once again. They had a goalless draw in the champions league on Tuesday but with 12 goals from 5 home league encounters to their name so far this season suggest we could see a few goals for the hosts. 1.23 is decent and on current form is well worth backing.

Our balance of £73.67 is being split between our 5 selections.
