International midfielder for Leeds United
Former Stoke City midfielder Amdy Faye seems set to sign for Leeds United after impressing enough in a trial game to earn a contract.
The 33-year-old Senegal international midfielder was released by the Potters at the end of last season after spending two years at the Britannia Stadium. A free agent since then, Faye is reported in today's Mirror to have played in a trial game for Leeds and did enough to convince manager Simon Grayson he was worth having on board.
Grayson had apparently earlier this week failed in an attempt to sign Cardiff City's Scottish international Gavin Rae on loan.
Faye came to prominence at Auxerre and first moved to England in 2003 when he signed for Portsmouth. He has since had spells at Newcastle United and Charlton Athletic, as well as a period on loan in Scotland with Rangers.
Would he be a good signing for Leeds? Let us know what you think below...

well leeds are certainly in need of a defencive midfielder and Faye will add a lot of experience to the squad.
Down sides are his age and he has been quite injury prone with his long term injury also he has not played a lot of first team football due to lack of form after his injury
i think Grayson should sign him on a short term deal like he has done with Nunez and see if he can prove himself and make a difference.
