Celtic keen to sign free agent defender
Neil Lennon has been almost as busy as Roberto Mancini and Juventus boss Luigi Del Neri this summer as he's attempted to completely overhaul the Celtic squad that failed so miserably last season - and it's believed that there could still be another addition.
Defender Danny Shittu, who was released by Bolton earlier this week after missing out on a place in their 24-man squad for the upcoming campaign, is reportedly being targeted by the Bhoys, and the former Watford centre back would become their 12th signing under Lennon if he arrives.
The Daily Record claim that the 30-year-old has been looked at by both Old Firm clubs in the past, and has also attracted interest from Leicester, but is most likely to join Celtic after their bid to bring in a defender on deadline day proved unsuccessful.

This is nothing more than sheer media speculation since the window has closed and the world knows Celtic wanted more strength in the back line.
