Liverpool to let midfielder move abroad?

The daily dose of Liverpool transfer chat goes on and today's rumour is about a player who could be on the way out of Anfield - but for once, Reds fans, you may not be too disappointed.

Lucas Leiva has hardly been the most popular of players since joining the club in 2007 and his scapegoat status wasn't helped by the fact that he started 32 league matches in last season's disastrous campaign.

Now talkSPORT are reporting that there may be two - count 'em Liverpool fans, two - clubs interested in obtaining the Brazilian's signature, as both Malaga and Juventus are said to be keen on bringing in the 23-year-old.

The story says that manager Roy Hodgson is already planning to overhaul his squad further in January, but knows he will need to raise some money in order to do so, and that Lucas has been earmarked as one of the players he could allow to move away from Merseyside.

Should Liverpool keep or sell Lucas? Have your say in the box below...

well i think that LUCAS need to be given more matches to play bedcause i watch some match he came in at some minute of the game to end, like the match against man.utd when he came in to replace maxi and he made a very good outing so the manager need to introduce him early in many of the games,i beieve he has lot to give to our club LIVERPOOL FC.

The guy is getting better and better....of course we should sell him, what would we want with a potentially top class player, lets sell him off at 23 years of age and see another team reap the benefits of all the work done by LFC....and then lets replace him with another 29/30 year old who nobody else is interested in and for good reason.

Let's try playing him in favoured position in a few consectutive games before letting him go.
This guy is better than you give him credit for.
Roy Hodgson could find himself the next to go if he's not careful, there's a very special manager out of work at the moment who is more than capable of sorting this team out.

as an arsenal fan, i am dissapointed that lucas is leaving, as he was awful and he is a large part of the reason why liverpool have been so bad recently.

Playing players out of position and swapping the team around all the time is THE main reason why LFC have been so bad recently.
It does'nt take a genius to work that out.
We also need to play Glen Johnson further forward. He's never been a defdender.
