Chelsea won't totally destroy West Ham

We've already looked at four of tomorrow's Premier League 3pm games, so now it's time to identify the best bets for the others, with Tottenham off to bogey ground The Hawthorns, West Ham bidding to get off the mark against Champions Chelsea and Steve Bruce returning to another former club...

West Brom v Tottenham
The international break was almost as horrific for Tottenham as it was for John Toshack and Carlos Queiroz, with Michael Dawson and Jermain Defoe picking up injuries. William Gallas and Rafael van der Vaart are both in contention to debut at the Hawthorns, but Spurs haven't won in four visits, while West Brom haven't lost there in nine months. With Tottenham sure to have one eye on Tuesday's Champions League trip to Bremen, either lay them at [2.2] or back the draw at [3.45].

West Ham v Chelsea
When a team yet to drop a point faces a team yet to win one, then they are obviously worthy favourites, however Chelsea have drawn two of their last four with struggling West Ham so odds of [1.35] look a little short. We like the option of laying the Blues to lead at the interval at [1.84], as despite last losing to West Ham in 2003, they haven't held a half-time advantage in four meetings.

Wigan v Sunderland
Wigan don't win consecutive league matches, while Sunderland don't enjoy much success on their travels, so either something has to give here, or the draw is the standout bet at [3.35]. A scary stat that lends itself to a punt on the visitors at [3.1] though is that all nine of the Premier League victories the Latics obtained under Roberto Martinez last season were followed by defeats.
