The English transfer deadline has passed!
The 2010 English summer transfer window has officially closed, however as ever it looks like there could be plenty more deals completed after hours, with Tottenham suddenly linked with Real Madrid outcast Rafael van der Vaart. If that happens, David Bentley may go to Fulham on loan.
The most significant Premier League moves saw Sunderland break their transfer record with the £13 million capture of Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan from Rennes, Paul Konchesky confirmed as a Liverpool player and Birmingham bring in Alexander Hleb (loan), Jean Beausejour and Martin Jiranek.
Stoke confirmed two season-long loan arrivals just before the deadline passed, with Jermaine Pennant following Eidur Gudjohnsen to the Britannia Stadium, while Dave Kitson left for Portsmouth, with Liam Lawrence expected to follow.
Wigan brought in Franco Di Santo on a three-year deal, having earlier taken Manchester United youngster Tom Cleverley on loan.
Arguably the biggest news of the day though came in Italy, where AC Milan paid £18 million for Manchester City's record signing Robinho days after adding Zlatan Ibrahimovic to their squad. Their top Serie A goalscorer Marco Borriello joined title rivals Roma on loan.
