Back Leyton Orient to earn trip to Norwich
Leyton Orient are clear favourites to win the final FA Cup second round tie of the weekend away to Conference North promotion chasers Droylsden, but we think the [1.72] available on the League One side is rather attractive.
The hosts won't have any shortage of motivation for this match after the way they missed out on the opportunity to feature in the third round two years ago despite dumping out Football League teams Darlington and Chesterfield, the reason being that they had fielded an ineligible player.
The reward had they progressed on that occasion would have been a trip to Ipswich and it's East Anglia where they'll be heading if they pull off a shock tonight, as the winners of this tie will face Norwich at Carrow Road.
Dave Pace's Bloods have been maddeningly erratic this season, a statistic illustrated no clear than by their recent league results. Their last five league victories have been emphatic, scoring 15 without reply but over the same ten-game stretch they've lost four, conceding 13 in those encounters.
It's also significant that they have yet to be truly tested despite getting this far, their strongest opponents having been Hyde United and Havant and Waterlooville, who play at the same level as them, while their current form is their worst of the campaign, tasting defeat in three of their last four league outings.
Don't be fooled by the fact Leyton Orient sit just above the League One relegation zone either, as the east Londoners are unbeaten in five and have suffered only one reverse in nine.
Goal wagers are also worth considering given the tendency of Droylsden to either lose heavily or win emphatically, while Orient's last three matches have featured a combined 13 goals. Over 2.5 goals is [1.71], over 3.5 is [2.74] and the visitors to score three or more is [2.86].
